What linen do you use?Updated an hour ago
We work exclusively with premium European linen — the standard against which all other linen is measured. European flax (grown primarily in Belgium, France, and the Netherlands) has the long-fiber length, strength, and natural luster that defines true heirloom linen.
On our highest-quality pieces, we use Libeco — a fifth-generation Belgian weaver established in 1858, widely regarded as one of the finest linen mills in the world. Libeco linen is OEKO-TEX certified, woven from European flax, and known for the way it softens beautifully over years of wear without losing its character.
We favor washed linens — woven, then garment-washed — for a softened hand and relaxed drape that mellows the natural creasing linen is known for. More ease, less stiffness.
