Will my sweater pill?Updated 19 days ago
Pilling is a natural part of wearing high-quality knits — especially during the first few wears — and it's not a sign of poor quality.
Cashmere and other fine yarns can develop small surface pills where there's friction (like under the arms or from crossbody bags). These pills can be easily removed using a sweater comb or fabric shaver and tend to decrease over time with proper care.
At Pura Cashmere, we use long-staple yarns and tightly spun fibers to reduce pilling and extend the life of every garment. Heavier-gauge knits and multi-ply styles also tend to resist pilling more than lighter, looser ones.
With occasional maintenance, your sweater will soften and improve over time — becoming even more beautiful with every wear.
